An Infinite Summer

I am…

at a loss.
I just finished this book.
I about died.
It was one of those moments where you just sit there.
By brilliance.
My arms were like lead,
I couldn’t breathe, and my insides were light.
Good books make you think.
This book froze me.
My mind stopped.
I asked Trey, “How can some people be so brilliant?”
(his reply: “well, we work really hard and that’s just the way we are.”)
I didn’t read this.
I devoured it.
Soaked up every ounce of its glory.
Whether it was 100 pages at once or 1 paragraph, I was completely in it.
I want everyone to read it.
And no one.
I want to shout to every single soul to be in this story.
And I don’t want anyone else to know about it.
It’s one of those.
Because I am convinced that no one else will love it as fiercely as I do
or see the beauty in every syllable.
This might be over the top.
I don’t care.
There is so much beauty in this world.
So many brilliant people.
Straight from God.
And words…words matter.

  1. Can’t wait to experience this. So well put. So beautiful.

  2. you’ve convinced me. i’m going to the library after work to see if they have this puppy.

  3. that’s how i felt after i read the book theif by the same guy! did you read that one?? and now, obviously i need to read this one. (p.s. the genius thing made me laugh out loud.)
